Our last few days in Brisbane and just enough time to do a few more activities and attractions before we head off. There was nothing on the job front so there is nothing to hold us here.
We have been quite blessed with the weather this year. Last year we seem to experience mostly rainy weather as we travelled up the east coast this year we have seen more sunshine and warmer temperatures we are keeping our fingers crossed that this year will be a bit dryer for us.
Our main reason for stopping in Alstonville was to ride out the Easter Break but we didn't realise we would also have to ride out a storm as well. Parking in a big shed makes it dark inside the van but the trade off it's cooler not in the blazing sun but you do wonder, we should be outside in the open air. Late last evening a storm came through bucketing down 50 mm of rain in about an hour all of a sudden helped us appreciate being under cover. We watch those that were parked outside ducking and dashing for cover. There was a real chance of hail which fortunately didn't eventuate but there was plenty of lightning and thunder.
Saying goodbye to Newcastle and Salt Ash we headed North again to our next stop Tuncurry-Forster. This was just going to be a stop with nothing much planned just a campspot with a river/inlet/ocean to sit beside.
Well the time is here again to move on to our next destination. Time to hook up that caravan extract it from our small plot of land we called home for 16 days and thread it through the metropolitan road network of Sydney hopefully getting onto the M1 Motorway which will carry us Northward.
